‘The Terrace’ Revisited.

A look back in time.

With things being hectic in the run up to the festive season, I am going to re-visit some of our old projects, starting with this, the transformation of an old terrace.

The terrace was at least 100 years old, dilapidated in the extreme, with a large part having been lifted by a magnolia tree. Clearing the old, broken tiles we poured a very thick bed of concrete – thicker than usual to guarantee the longevity of the work and give a level base.

During numerous conversations with the clients about what materials they would like to use, it was decided upon some beautiful brick pavers – the colours coordinating with the house and very similar to the original hue of the old tiles.

As you can see from the initial picture…..what a transformation!!
